The Felt Chasm is a BMX bike from Felt, an unusual sight for many as the majority of top road and mountain bike manufacturers don’t produce BMX’s. Felt however are clued into the market and they seen that a hole was open for them to exploit. With the Felt Chasm, Felt are giving consumers what they want; by listening to them, Felt can now understand what bicycles are popular and which aren’t.
The Felt Chasm is another of the relatively inexpensive BMX bikes from Felt; sitting at a price that allows all riders to afford it, but also allows Felt to make a good quality bike. The first thing that anyone who takes a look at the Chasm mentions is definitely the colour; with a striking monster green finish you’ll always get noticed by the right people.
The Felt Chasm also contains some great parts, with Tektro brakes and the majority of the BMX being made from a Steel alloy. This may not be the lightest material around, and with the Felt Chasm weighing in at over 24 pounds, you can’t see that you’re surprised. However, this steel frame and components does make the Chasm more durable and also extremely stiff; a very important aspect in the geometry of the bike.
