Giant OCR – The Bike Expert
The Giant OCR is a road bike range from Giant, one of the most famous and possibly the best bicycle manufacturers that the world has ever seen. The Giant OCR is basically an all round road bike which can be used for all sorts of activities; touring, commuting, training runs or even competitions/events/races. You would probably be better with a higher class road bike for races, but this would be ok for smaller, amateur events.
Just like the FCR 1 that I recently reviewed, the Giant OCR 1, 2, 3 and even the 4 are extremely hard to find. They are a few years old and unfortunately they have disappeared from the shelves of the main retailers to make way for the newer bicycles. This isn’t always a bad thing though; as technology develops, the bikes become better and the prices for old technologies are also reduced, this means you will also get higher value for money with newer road bikes.
The Giant TCR is probably the best road bike in their 2012 range, and I suggest that you take a look at it, as it does have some cheaper versions. However, if you have your heart set on the Giant OCR, then attempt to look for a shop that is selling it at a discount. You may not find this online, but you should look below anyway.
