Giant Yukon – Giant Yukon FX
The Giant Yukon FX is yet another outstanding mountain bike from Giant. The Yukon is situated in the price range where it’s in the middle of everything; it’s to expensive to be an out and out entry level bicycle, however, it dosen’t offer enough performance and quality to be used as a racing bike. The Giant Yukon is well suited to entry level cyclists with a decent budget, or anyone who is purchasing a second bike that offers that little bit extra than their previous MTB buy.
The Giant Yukon contains a lightweight and durable aluminium frame that allows you to get the perfect mixture between levels of performance, speed and durability with price. Carbon fiber will allow you to perform better, with even higher levels of quality than aluminium, however, it’s a lot more expensive. Steel tubing bikes on the other hand will reduce the output of the bicycle, but, they will save you a lot of money when compared to both.
The Giant Yukon is a middle class bicycle and suits almost anyone inside this very wide price range. It could be used in competitions, however, it wouldn’t be best to enter some of the more competitive events with the Giant Yukon. For this, one of the more specialised carbon fibre bikes will be the way to go.
