Vuelta Stage 10 Review – Ponteareas to Sanxenxo
Vuelta Stage 10Teams Sky’s Christopher Froome still holds on to second spot in todays stage of the Vuelta a Espana. The glory today went to one of Germanys top riders – John Degenkolb riding for Team Argos – Shimano as he took his fourth victory inside only ten stages in this years Vuelta, an early favourite for the sprinters jersey. Degenkold came in today ahead of the French rider Nacer Bouhavni from France and the Italian Daniele Bennati, the Team Radio Shack cyclist who just about got a podium place.
In the GC, Joaquim Rodrijuez still holds onto the lead when he arrived into the Spanish town of Sanxenxo earlier this afternoon. He is currently 53 seconds in front of Team Sky’s Chris Froome. Froome’s chance will come though, and will come quick, with tomorrows time trial race. After his immense performance’s in both the Tour de France and London 2012 Olympics, he will almost certainly be the favourite to hold the lead tomorrow night. Alberto Contador could still be dangerous though, as he hopes to prove his ability once again after his highly publicised two year ban for doping in the 2010 Tour de France.
Tune in tomorrow night for a run down on the risers and fallers from the time trial which is certain to shake up the whole race!
